Business Development Representative – Flatirons Fund - LATAM

ABOUT THE JOB Flatirons is looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Representative to help grow Flatirons Fund, which exchanges software development services in exchange for equity in high-growth startups. You’ll be responsible for identifying and qualifying startup leads, conducting outreach, and screening interested companies to find the best opportunities for investment and partnership. As the first point of contact, you’ll also conduct initial discovery calls to assess fit and ensure startups align with our investment strategy. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING • Lead Generation: Identify high-value startup prospects through research, networking, and outreach. • Outreach & Engagement: Conduct cold outreach to target startups via email, social media, and other platforms to introduce them to Flatirons Fund. • Qualifying Leads: Screen startups through discovery calls to assess fit based on Flatirons Fund’s criteria (growth potential, market fit, technical needs). • Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified startups, keeping accurate records of outreach and communications. • Collaboration: Work closely with the Flatirons team to hand off qualified startups for deeper engagement and partnership discussions. • Market Research: Stay up to date with startup trends, funding rounds, and the tech ecosystem to continuously improve outreach strategies. ABOUT YOU • You live in LATAM (Latin America). • You have excellent communication skills in English. • You are experienced in lead generation, outreach, and conducting discovery calls to qualify leads. • You have at least 4 years of professional experience in a BDR or similar role. • You have a passion for the startup ecosystem and a solid understanding or willingness to learn about what makes startups high-potential. • You’re highly organized and able to manage multiple prospects in a pipeline while keeping track of all communications. • You’re results-driven, with the ability to generate leads and contribute to the growth of the Fund.
