We are building a tool that will allow us to continuously capture data from all the tools we use to measure statistics and metrics for our activities and programs, as well as statistics from Wikimedia projects, and track and evaluate them over time. For the creation of the tool, we secured funding from a grant aimed at supporting the growth of the organization's capacities. We are behind the analytical part, we plan to complete it in August 2023.

The Foundation Global Advocacy team launched a public mapping project to collect all initiatives and tools that have been developed at the local level across Wikimedia projects, and make them easily accessible and available to the movement at large. Crowdsourcing this information will allow us to support our community better, thereby improving Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects’ protection against disinformation. We need your help to do so. We are currently in the mapping process - we've had many conversations with folks across the movement and have compiled the resources they shared. NEXT we will share them (and we need help/input on how/where to share and host these learning materials); THEN we will identify a few of the tools or programmes that we came across and try to replicate these at scale to better counter disinformation (we will need folks to dedicate time to help is scale some of these selected projects).

We've been exploring and discussing the set up of a regional?, linguistic? hub in Latin America.

On the 1st of July 2022, I facilitated a collaboration of Yoruba Wikimedians User Group c with Mr Macaroni, a multi award-wining Nigerian comic skit maker, actor with millions of followers on various social media to produced short comic skit to promote the Yoruba language Wikipedia. The project was implemented between March 2022 and August 2022. The project idea came up in 2021 when we reviewed the movement strategy recommendations that focuses on increase the sustainability of our movement.

Bangla Wikimaitree is a language based collaboration network between the Wikimedia Bangladesh chapter and West Bengal Wikimedians User Group. From this network we are working together to enrich the contents regarding to Bangla language and culture.

We gathered teenagers from low-income families, took them to a place, and let them take a picture of the place with their smart phones. We rented laptops for them and tough how to upload their pictures on Wikimedia Commons, and share the photos on Wikipedia.

Over the past year, a group of representatives from various affiliates and the Wikimedia Foundation have started meeting virtually to share knowledge across groups around various fundraising approaches. The group has formed organically over time and we are discussing how to increase participation and share resources more widely across the movement.

"Dagbani Wikipedia Saha" is a tele-education pilot program that is intended to recruit volunteers and train more people who may otherwise not be able to attend the in-person workshops/training because of their location, time, and proximity to workshop venues, among others. The program is a piloted initiative by the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group in collaboration with NTV, a northern-based digital TV station.

From August to December 2021, the Art+Feminism leadership team (Mohammed Sadat Abdulai, Amber Berson, Melissa Tamani, Kira Wisniewski, Nina Yeboah) took an organizational pause on all regularly scheduled programmatic activities to prioritize creating internal anti-oppression policies and mechanisms. This, in a way, became our programming. The leadership team became deeply engaged in this work by: participating in ongoing meetings, readings and discussions, working through past trauma, examining how white supremacy/Anglo Saxon practices perpetuate in our everyday work culture (such as sense of urgency and centering/overrepresenting U.S. culture), and creating operational definitions of concepts like equity and racism. We specifically focused on developing an anti-racism policy to be implemented across the organization and inform new work culture practices rooted in restorative justice. We do not want to have just words on a page, but rather move Art+Feminism toward a cultural shift with established policies and protocols that help the organization be more consistent with its values. We also envision regular org-wide trainings in the future to help us all be in alignment with this work. This is important and hard work that takes time. As a team, we believe that we are a stronger organization now that we have the anti-racism policy and equity statement in place. We are committed to continuing on this trajectory as these two protocols are the first steps to sustainable change. The creation of the Community Tech team is a direct outcome of requests from core contributors for improved support for moderation tools, bots, and the other features that help the Wikimedia projects succeed. This survey process was developed by Wikimedia Deutschland's Technical Wishes team, who run a wishlist survey on the German-language Wikipedia. In November, 2015, Community Tech conducted the first Community Wishlist Survey, to help identify the features and fixes that are most important to Wikimedia editors. The team invited contributors from all Wikimedia projects to submit proposals. After two weeks of collecting proposals, the team asked them to vote on the proposals they were most interested in. The process has been repeated every year since and it has been an integral part of staying connected with the Communities to support Knowledge as a Service and Knowledge equity. It is strongly related to the #2 and #4 Recommendations in Movement Strategy.
