We’re excited to announce the release of Baserow 1.31, bringing significant improvements to data synchronization, export capabilities, filtering options, and Application Builder features.
Let’s dive into the key features and improvements in this release.
We’ve improved our data sync capabilities to give you more control over synchronization timing. With periodic data sync, you can now schedule automatic synchronization at regular intervals:
You can also select specific views when setting up Baserow table synchronization, allowing precise control over which data syncs between workspaces.

The new Distribution aggregation type, a collaborative community contribution by Jose Mando Alvarado and Abdalla, enhances Field Summaries by displaying the top ten most frequent values in a field.
This feature displays both the count and percentage distribution of values, making it easier to identify the most common field values and understand data patterns or trends.

The Application Builder has several new options in the theme section:
→ Font weight control: You can now adjust text elements with different font weights, including light, regular, medium, and bold options.
→ Custom colors: Define custom colors in theme settings to better match your brand guidelines or create unique visual designs.
→ Border radius customization: Adjust the roundness of element corners to match your design preferences.
→ Spacing control for the Repeat element: Fine-tune the layout of repeated elements with new horizontal and vertical gap settings.
To customize the theme settings, click the three dots next to the application name and select Settings. In the modal that appears, navigate to the Theme section.
The Application Builder now supports optional query parameters in URLs, enabling pages to load dynamic content.
For example, when displaying order details, you can use query parameters like ?status=pending
to filter e-commerce orders. You can combine these with path parameters for more sophisticated data filtering and display options.

We’ve improved Application Builder security by limiting API responses to only return Data Source fields used on specific pages. While the backend can still return Data Source Context fields, this ensures users only receive data they have permission to view.
These security enhancements ensure that your application’s data remains protected while maintaining the flexibility needed for collaborative work.
