Welcome to Baserow!

Baserow is an open-source no-code database tool that allows you to collaborate on projects, tasks, and more. It gives you the powers of a developer without leaving your browser.

How does Baserow work?

Baserow allows you to build and edit your data without writing code.

After you create an account and sign in, you’ll be taken to the Dashboard. The dashboard is where you can organize and view all your workspaces, applications, and databases. It is also the starting point for creating new databases, applications, and workspaces.

The left-hand sidebar is made up of applications, databases, and nested within are your tables. If you want to see a table, click on a database.

With the sidebar, you can zoom in on application pages and tables within a database or workspace, or create a new database or table. You can see all your workspaces at once, as well as other databases, in a single click.

Why do I receive a “Connection to the server failed” pop-up on Baserow.io?

Baserow has an active web socket connection to receive real-time updates. The “Connection to the server failed” pop-up on Baserow.io is related to real-time collaboration. It indicates that there is a temporary issue with your connection to the Baserow server.

Temporary connection failures could be due to a variety of reasons, such as network instability, interruption in your internet connection, server downtime, or maintenance. This could happen if you lose your internet connection, put your device in sleep mode, or similar. Baserow will attempt to reconnect many times, but it will display a warning if that fails.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

Refresh the page: In many cases, the connection problem is usually temporary. You can restore the connection to the Baserow server by refreshing the page.
Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a stable and reliable internet connection. Try accessing other websites or online services to verify if the problem is specific to Baserow.io or your internet connection in general.
Verify server status: Check the status page, community, or official social media accounts for any known server issues or scheduled maintenance on Baserow.io.
Contact Baserow support: If the issue persists or you suspect it’s specific to your Baserow account, contact the Baserow support team for further assistance. The team can provide more specific guidance based on your account and help troubleshoot the connection problem.
