Getting started with Dashboards

Baserow Dashboards make it easy to visualize and understand your data. Whether you need to monitor project progress, analyze trends, or share insights with your team, Dashboards provide a simple yet powerful platform for transforming your data into actionable insights.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about creating and customizing Dashboards in Baserow.

Overview

Before creating your first dashboard, ensure you’re logged into your Baserow account and have access to a workspace where you want to create the dashboard.

Create a new dashboard

Follow these steps to create your first dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the workspace where you want to create the dashboard
  2. Click + Create new button in the top-right corner of your workspace
  3. After clicking the Create new button, a popup will appear. Select the Dashboard option from the dropdown menu
  4. Give your dashboard a descriptive name that reflects its purpose

Create a Baserow Dashboard

After creating your dashboard, you’ll be taken to the dashboard editor where you can start adding widgets.

Add widgets to your dashboard

To populate your dashboard with data visualizations:

  1. Click the Add widget button in your dashboard

  2. Choose the type of widget you want to add (Summary or Bar chart) Add a widget

  3. Configure the widget’s settings, including:

  • Widget title and description
  • Data source selection
  • Grouping and sorting options

Customize a Baserow Dashboard

Remember that your dashboard will automatically update whenever the underlying data in your Baserow tables changes, ensuring your visualizations always reflect the most current information.

You can add multiple widgets to create a comprehensive view of your data.
