A Phone number field is a specialized field type designed to store contact phone numbers. Unlike a standard text field, it validates that the input contains only characters commonly used in phone numbers and automatically renders values as clickable tel: links.
Its main purpose is to help ensure that phone numbers are entered in a valid format while making them easy to use.
